Taunton Win Somerset League

Taunton finished off the season in style with an 11-1 win at home V Ilminster B in the final game of the 2025 season to clinch the Premier Division of the Somerset County League.

An exciting finish is in store as Taunton sit top of the Premier Division of the Somerset League. With two games remaining the team are in top spot on shot difference but have a game in hand over Bath A. Ilminster A are a further 10pts back having played the same number of games. Bristol A and Street A still in with a chance a further point adrift.

On 23rd August Taunton travel away to Purnell A, Ilminster A have a home game v Clevedon A and Bristol A and Street A face off in Street.

With a good result this weekend Taunton should be be in a strong position on the final weekend of the season to take the league title. The final fixture for Taunton is a home game v Ilminster B on 30th August.

The A & C teams have clinched their respective divisions with a game to spare!

Taunton A & C teams had a successful night on Thursday 26th June with the A team winning 2 rinks and drawing the other & a win on shots 59-45 to record a 11-1 points win. Taunton C won 2-1 on rinks & 55-41 on shots to record a 10-2 points win. Both teams now sit firmly on top of their respective Divisions.
